Join us to celebrate this great event and to enjoy the stunning scenery, diverse attractions and local culture of Ballycastle Town and Rathlin Island in the Causeway Coast and Glens. The festival opens with the unique boat blessing event at Ballycastle seafront and Marina on Friday 27th May and continues through the week and both weekends until the closing event on Rathlin Island on Sunday 5th June 2016. The festival is centred on Rathlin Sound, the body of water that lies between Rathlin Island and Ballycastle.
From the adrenaline rush of the Sailing Regatta and races as well as exciting and informative talks and tours, exhibitions and demonstrations, fun competitions, laid back lunches, friendly giants, curraghs and Viking ships, there is plenty to choose from including fantastic family friendly events. We are planning a fun filled and packed programme of events at the 5th annual celebration of our rich maritime heritage with an emphasis on locally produced food for this the Year of Food In Northern Ireland.
Naturally North Coast and Glens market will be trading during the festival with its great selection of local produce, variety of knowledgeable friendly traders all eager to share their stories and never happier than when they are talking about what they have made.
Adrenaline junkies - why not watch the JetMan use the power of water to soar into the air or take a hair raising ride in a powerboat.
