In the last week you will add colour to your pots using a variety of underglazes. Participants will use stoneware clay to make items to be fired and glazed with a clear glaze by the tutor and collected at a later date.

Whether you're a beginner or have prior experience, join ceramicist Fiona Shannon for this 5-week course where you will master hand-building techniques like slab building, coiling, pinch pots and press moulds to craft diverse pots like vases and bowls. During the final session, you’ll bring your creations to life with vibrant slips. Items will be fired and clear-glazed by the tutor to be collected at a later date.
Please bring apron and wear clothes that you won’t mind getting a little messy. It is advisable to cut your nails short for this class.

GLASS MAKING: MAKE A FUSED GLASS PLATE - SOLD OUT

Natasha Duddy will teach glass cutting and glass grinding skills to help you create a mosaic-style plate using a combination of colours and patterns. Once fused, Natasha will transfer into moulds and re-fire to slump into plates for you to take home. No previous experience required. Please note, closed toe footwear must be worn for your own safety.

Embrace the summer by joining Heather Byrne at two of our most beautiful coastal locations to get inspired in creating wonderful creative sketchbooks. In Week One, you’ll visit Whiterocks Beach as a group, in Week Two, Castlerock Beach and in Week Three, the group will reconvene at Flowerfield. Using various mixed mediums, you will try different drawing techniques and exercises to encourage a looser style of drawing, capturing a feeling of ‘being’ in the landscape rather than a purely representational drawing. You’ll gain confidence and discover preferred processes and materials to enable you to work outdoors.

Join Eleanor-Jane for a fun-filled half-day taster session to discover the art of Stained Glass Tiffany Style. You will learn how to design and structure your piece; cut glass, use a diamond grinder, apply and burnish copper foil, assemble and solder your pieces together including making and adding hooks (if you want to hang your finished project). E-J will guide you through the process and you will create a unique panel of glass art which you will take away on the day. This class is suitable for complete beginners and those with some experiences are also very welcome. All the tools and equipment, including gloves, aprons and safety goggles are provided. STILL LIFE PAINTING

Join artist Elaine Harkness for this vibrant, fun composition and still life workshop
Using oil paint to create a riot of colour, each participant will bring home an uplifting piece of your own art. Don’t worry if you have only had limited experience or are a complete beginner. All activities will have a relaxed and informal approach.

Glass artist Natasha Duddy helps you create two beautiful, fused glass birds on wire for flowerpot stakes; or on hooks to hang from your windows and enjoy the mesmerising colours. You will draw and cut two bird templates and decorate with colour combinations, using small cut glass, frits and stringers. During the fusing process wire will be attached to allow the birds to free stand or hang. An inspiring introduction to the fabulous world of glassmaking.
