Bovagh is an 18th century manor house set in idyllic countryside just 15 miles from two of Ireland’s greatest golf courses, Portrush and Portstewart, and within easy reach of the world-famous Giant’s Causeway and several Game of Thrones® filming locations, including Ballintoy Harbour and the Dark Hedges.

The house is an ideal base for self-catering groups of up to 10 people, whether they are attending the 148th Open, exploring the romantic ruins of Dunluce Castle, taking a tipple at the world’s oldest licensed distillery in Bushmills or testing their nerve on a rope bridge high above the waves at Carrick-a-rede.
A stroll along Magilligan Strand followed by a pint in the Point Bar and fish and chips at Harry’s Shack is a great day out (whatever the weather!) as is a visit to the historic Walls of Derry and a hike along the Donegal’s endless sandy beaches followed by a hot bath and blazing log fire back at Bovagh.

With its high ceilings, wooden beams and Aga cooker, the house marries old world charm with modern day comforts, including oil-fired under-floor heating, a wood-burning stove, wi-fi throughout, a 42-inch TV, access to Sky channels, a barbeque and a table tennis table.

There are four spacious double bedrooms, two of which have ensuite bathrooms. Two further twin bedrooms each have an adjacent bathroom. Small groups of friends and families will enjoy Bovagh, whether as a place to celebrate or simply relax and explore the woods and take long river walks.

From £300 per night (plus a cleaning fee), with a minimum stay of 2 nights.
