Ballycastle is a seaside town on the north-easternmost coastal tip of the island of Ireland in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town retains much of its old charm and the locals have retained an independent retail offer.  Recent years have seen Ballycastle emerge as a food destination with local delicacies being available direct from producers, cafés and restaurants.

The modern 74 berth marina is also the departure point for ferries to Rathlin Island.

The town’s proximity to Scotland means that the Mull of Kintyre can be viewed from the coastline.

The Ould Lammas Fair (Ireland’s oldest traditional fair) is held each year on the last Monday and Tuesday of August.
