About
A chance to get creative at a series of Workshops for adults where everything is Jubilee themed.
On the 8th June 2022 Flowerfield will be holding a Glassmaking: Shamrock, Rose and Thistle workshop. Participants will design and assemble a commemorative glass piece inspired by Her Majesty's Robe of Estate. Participants will learn how to cut and assemble glass in a number of forms (sheet glass, frit, stringers and confetti). The glass piece can be free-standing, hanging, framed or put on a stand after firing in Flowerfield Art Centre's Kiln Studio. Fired pieces can be collected one week after the workshop.
On the 18th June 2022 Silversmithing: Make your own Jubilee Bracelet will give participants the opportunity to use traditional jewellery-making techniques such as piercing, soldering, shaping, texturing and polishing, to create a unique silver linked bracelet to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. No previous experience is required. All you need to bring is an apron and bundles of enthusiasm!
There is also a Jewellery making workshop happening at Ballymoney Town Hall on 11th June 2022. You will be able to design and make your own unique silver jewellery necklace or earrings under the guidance of goldsmith Diane Lyness. Choose from a range of themed or heritage designs or create your own. Each participant will be taught traditional jewellery-making techniques such as piercing, soldering, shaping, texturing and polishing to create a beautiful piece of jewellery to take home. No previous experience is required. Materials provided. All you need to bring is an apron and bundles of enthusiasm! Advance booking recommended to ensure a place. Price £50 includes materials. Everyone welcome age 18+.
