About

Children will have the opportunity to learn and have fun at these workshops with a variety of Kings, Queens, Castles and Crown themed arts and crafts activities.

On 11th Jun 2022 Glassmaking: Crown Suncatcher & Coaster will provide participants with the opportunity to design and assemble a commemorative crown sun-catcher and coaster - fit for a King or Queen - inspired by the Queen's Jubilee celebrations. Participants will learn how to cut and assemble glass in a number of forms (sheet glass, frit, stringers and confetti). The glass pieces can be free-standing, hanging, framed or put on a stand after firing in Flowerfield Art Centre's Kiln. Fired pieces can be collected one week after the workshop.

11th & 18th June there will be Weekend Wonders: Design and make your own castle. Children will have the opportunity to experiment with a variety of different artistic materials, learn new creative techniques, have fun and develop their skills, before making their finished 'product'. Design and make a spectacular castle using a variety of materials.
