This moderate walk is on minor roads, forest tracks and trails, taking in the dramatic landscape of Glenariff and a section of the Dungonnell Way.
The walk is suitable for everyone with a good general fitness and has a total distance of 15km. Approx. 4-5 hours.
There are a few dramatic waterfalls along the route testifying to the stunning geomorphology and natural history of the Glens. The area is historically known for its iron ore mining in the mid-19th century and the post-industrial legacy it has left behind on the landscape.
Accompanied children over 10 years can be accommodated however the distance of the walk should be noted by parents.
Parking is available on-site at Glenariff Forest Park. Transport via Minibus will be provided from the walk end back to registration.
Waterproofs are required and hiking boots or sturdy footwear recommended.
No dogs allowed.
