Is the Festival child friendly?

Yes, there are plenty of great opportunities for your children to get creative and learn something new!  

The Salmon Fisheries will be hosting interactive activities, talks and tours in celebration of International Year of the Salmon on Saturday and Sunday 11am-4.30pm

For those that love to get creative there will be free jumping clay and puppet making on both days in Millennium Park as well as a balloon modeller between 12-2pm on Saturday.

Cookery demonstrations will also be available to inspire older children to create their own culinary masterpieces and don’t forget to look out for the wondering singing chefs between 1-3pm

The RSBP, Ulster Farmers Union and The waste and recycling Council team will have stands to encourage young and older children to learn about food, food waste, getting into the hospitality industry and the development of a product.


Will there be disabled toilets / changing facilities?

Yes, there will be a Mobiloo facility available on Main Street. Other toilets are available at Dundarave and adjacent to the Cookery Marquee just off Main Street.


What are the Opening Times?

The Festival runs from 10-5pm on Saturday and 12-5pm on Sunday


When do the cookery demonstrations commence?

On Saturday our Celebrity Chef Ian Orr will delight and inspire us with Cookery demonstrations starting at 12 noon.

On Sunday our talented local chefs will create fabulous dishes from 1pm


When/Where is the Bushmills Bake Off?

The Great ‘Bushmills Bake Off’ will be judged by Ian Orr at 4pm. All Homemade entries are to be entered at the Cookery Marquee between 11am & 3pm.

What do I need to book?

Bushmills Whiskey Tastings from 10am to 3.30pm (Over 18’s only) does not need to be pre-booked, Tickets will be allocated on the day. Irish Feast Salmon & Whiskey Food Tours must be booked in advance by contacting Bushmills Visitor Information Centre on (028) 2073 0390 or emailing:

Visits to the Salmon Fisheries do not require booking


Can I bring my dog?

It is an open air festival so dogs would be permitted on a lead


Can I buy any alcohol?

Alcohol cannot be sold by the Artisan market traders, however some may provide samples.

Bushmills Distillery has an amazing retail area to buy all your necessary drinks!

There are also local outlets around the town centre.


Are there any admission charges?

The Festival is free except for the Food and walking tours.
