The weather may be getting colder, but that doesn’t mean excitement is cooling off here on the Causeway Coastal Route! This October sees an array of fantastic events taking place in the region, including our month long celebration of all things food, and of course our Halloween festivities!
Taste Causeway – 4th-29th October
Taste Causeway 2019 is a month-long celebration of our world-renowned food and drink, cultivated by passionate people, in the stunning landscape of the Causeway Coast & Glens.
A number of events will take place across various locations in the region, including the Portrush Beer Fest from 4th-5th October, and the Northern Ireland Potato Festival on 5th October. There will also be a variety of demonstrations by our local award-winning chefs, Make It Yourself events, and more!
Portrush Motorcycle Beach Races – 12th-13th October
The East Strand in Portrush will again host the annual motorcycle beach races this October. Organised by the Foyle District Motor Cycle Club, in conjunction with Causeway Coast and Glens Council, this is a unique racing weekend at a truly impressive and beautiful location, where riders and spectators are guaranteed an excellent weekend!
Glens Storytelling Festival – 24th-27th October
A 4-day storytelling and music festival based along the Causeway Coastal Route, all the way from Ballycastle and Rathlin Island to Whitehead takes place this October.
This annual event celebrates the rich cultural heritage of the area. The festival will include storytellers and musicians from the local area as well as featured guests from the rest of Northern Ireland, England, Scotland and the Republic of Ireland.
Travelling Treeluminations 25th October – 2nd November
Experience the fun of Halloween in the Ballylough Farmyard and Estate this October with this stunning light and music installation. Take a serene walk through the enchanted forest and marvel at the magnificent colours of the Treeluminations. Look out for friendly ghosts, the odd storyteller and the farmyard witches. Stick to the path!
Halloween Happenings in the Causeway Coast and Glens – 28th-31st
Come along to some frightful fun in the Causeway Coast and Glens this Halloween including spooky characters, fire performers, live music, fireworks and much more. The programme of events in October will begin in Ballymoney on Monday 28th followed by Limavady on Tuesday 29th, Coleraine on Wednesday 30th and will finish in Ballycastle on Halloween night on Thursday 31st
