Donnelly’s Bakery was established 40 years ago by passionate baker and entrepreneur Moyra Donnelly and is now in being run by her sons Cathal and Eugene – a second generation of bakers.

As one of the few remaining home bakeries that still bake in house every day, we pride ourselves in the use of only the healthiest quality ingredients. Our range and quality recognised by the “Bakery of the Year” award 2017 (Neighbourhood Retailer Awards).

Whilst we provide breads of ethnic/European origin (crossiants, Ciabatta bread, French baguette) the core of our products are traditional Irish in nature with a Scottish influence such as fadge (potato bread), bannocks (oven soda) and slims (griddle teascones) along with the new low GI multi seed loaves and Donnelly’s unique “Dalriada Loaf” (no yeast, no sugar, no flour) and Dulse wheaten for the health conscious.

Our artisan products are all hand made by our own master bakers with an emphasis on using local ingredients in both the bakery and coffee shop.

Upstairs from the Bakery Shop you can enjoy our award winning all day Ulster Fry or fresh home made soup, paninis, lunch specials and of course delicious pastries – all served with a smile.

Locally sourced ingredients, a pride in quality, and service to our customers are important. ‘It’s great to see customers from the local area and further afield coming back time after time’ said owner and Baker Eugene Donnelly .
