About

Portrush Music Society is set to dazzle audiences this November with The Magic of Musicals, an unmissable celebration of some of the greatest show tunes ever written.

Following on from their stellar production of My Fair Lady in May, the award-winning society returns to the stage with a sparkling showcase that promises something for everyone – from timeless classics to modern hits. Audiences can expect show-stopping numbers from beloved favourites such as Oklahoma, Calamity Jane and Les Miserables, and newer sensations including Sister Act, Shrek and their eagerly awaited 2026 production of Come From Away.

The Magic of Musicals is a true celebration of theatre's power to inspire and entertain. Under the superb musical direction of Addis Blair, the production will feature full company ensembles, small group numbers and stunning solos, all staged with the flair and energy that Portrush Music Society is renowned for.
"Musical theatre is something that connects with every generation," says director Kerry Kane. "This show is designed to whisk audiences away on a journey through the very best of Broadway and the West End. Whether you're a lifelong fan or new to the theatre, there will be songs that make you laugh, cry and sing along."
The Magic of Musicals will be performed at Flowerfield Arts Centre in Portstewart on Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd of November. Tickets are already selling fast, and with limited performances available, early booking is highly recommended.
