Taking place from 1st-31st October 2026, this month-long celebration highlights the people, places and produce that have helped shaped Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast & Glens as an unforgettable foodie destination.
Throughout the month, visitors can enjoy a tantalising schedule of events, including supper clubs, tasting menus, food tours and artisanal markets.
Meet the Makers: Economusee Experiences
Get up close and personal with some of the regions finest food producers on an Economusee experience to learn more about how some of our local delicacies are made. Broighter Gold Rapeseed Oil will welcome visitors to visit their workshop, where they can learn more about the process of harvesting and cold-pressing this golden flower into an award-winning oil. In Ballycastle, Broughgammon Farm invite you to check out their family-run, sustainable farming practices, while Ursa Minor Bakehouse are happy to answer any questions you may have about baking sourdough, pastries and additive-free sweet treats, both based in Ballycastle. While you’re there, it’s worth making the stop at North Coast Smokehouse, where you’ll learn about the traditional craft of smoking food, how it links us to our past and how it has been adapted for the modern world.
Artisanal Markets
Ready for a foodie-filled shopping spree? Don’t miss some of our renowned local markets taking place throughout the month of October. In Coleraine, the Causeway Speciality Market – which has just celebrated 20 years of operation – will open on 10th & 24th October, with plenty of local produce on offer for hungry shoppers. The Roe Valley Speciality Market in Limavady sees a plethora of producers and crafters manning their pop-up stalls on 17th October – a buzzing town centre market with plenty to choose from. If you’re searching for something more intimate, the ultra-trendy Two Twenty Coffee Shop in Portrush are hosting a fantastic day of curated makers you can shop from, with live music, cookery demos and a panel discussion on our local food scene.
Curated Menus & Dining Experiences
All month long, you can look forward to a wide range of tasting sessions, supper clubs, and foodie experiences across the Causeway Coast & Glens. Hotel venues like the Bayview Hotel, Dunluce Lodge, and Elephant Rock will all be hosting one-off experiences like tasting sessions, brunches and special menus and you’ll get a chance to try your hand at making some foodie favourites at hands-on workshops with The Chocolate Manor and Ballykenver Farmshop & Kitchen. Feast on a picnic that’s filled with local produce with an alpaca by your side with North Coast Alpacas, or spend a full day being chauffeured in style across some of the area’s most popular eateries with Causeway Coast Foodie Tours. Witness a Slow Food spectacular with a very special demo by celebrity chef, Paula McIntyre, or sit back and take in the sights along the River Bann with a whiskey tasting hosted by The Whiskey Lad onboard Causeway Lass.
