Christmas Light Switch Ons

From 20th-28th November, towns and villages across the Causeway Coast & Glens will light up in spectacular fashion. Christmas Light Switch Ons are a beloved tradition, with each event casting a warm glow on our streets as twinkling lights illuminate town centres. Keep an eye out for Santa himself, who may make a surprise appearance to bring extra joy to little ones.

Christmas Markets in the Causeway Coast & Glens

Nothing says Christmas like the charm of a festive market, and the Causeway Coast & Glens boasts a fantastic selection! Discover unique gifts at the much-loved Flowerfield Christmas Craft Market in Portstewart, featuring over 40 talented makers and artisans. Explore the Naturally North Coast & Glens Artisan Markets in Limavady, Ballymoney, and Ballycastle, and stop by the Causeway Speciality Market in Coleraine throughout December for a truly festive experience in the heart of town. Additional local markets across the region ensure there’s something special for everyone.

Festive Family Fun

For a holiday outing the whole family will love, explore our Festive Family Fun events! Enjoy the Limepark Christmas Experience, where kids can meet Santa and Mrs. Claus, and parents can sample tasty holiday treats along the way. Take part in the annual Santa Splash organised by Portrush Yacht Club, all in aid of a good cause, for a refreshing start to the Christmas break. Kick off your Christmas celebrations with an intimate carol concert featuring your favourite festive classics inside the beautiful and iconic Mussenden Temple at the National Trust’s Christmas Choir Series.

Creative Christmas

If you’re feeling inspired to create, the Causeway Coast & Glens has many festive workshops to enjoy this season. Take part in a wreath-making workshop at Dunluce Lodge, or visit Adam Frew Ceramics’ Christmas Open Studio for a thoughtful gift that’s locally-made.
