Coleraine Twelfth

Railway Road, Coleraine, County Londonderry, BT52 1PE
Coleraine Twelfth

About

The festivities begin bright and early, with Coleraine District assembling on Union Street at 9:15am sharp, stepping off at 9:30am through a vibrant town route that includes Railway Road, Church Street, The Diamond, and more. The streets will come alive with music, banners, and pageantry as the parade winds its way toward the assembly area.

Joining the celebration are distinguished guests, the City of Londonderry Grand Orange Lodge, Limavady District LOL No. 6, and Macosquin District LOL No. 8. Each will arrive via Strand Road and form up at Shuttle Hill from 11:15am, ready to march off at noon in grand order behind their District Bannerettes.

Marshals will be on hand throughout the day to ensure all participants are in place and proceed smoothly—your cooperation with the Chief Marshal and his team will help make this a successful and safe event for all.

The parade will make its way to the Demonstration Field behind Coleraine Leisure Centre, where a respectful salute will be observed at the War Memorial in The Diamond, honouring those who served. The Platform Proceedings, beginning at 2:15pm, will include a Religious Service, and all Bands are respectfully asked to remain silent during this solemn part of the day.

At 3:30pm, the return parade commences. The order of march will see Coleraine District LOL No. 2 leading, followed by the visiting Lodges. The route back includes a respectful gesture from Coleraine District, who will open ranks on Church Street to allow guests to pass through en route to their evening departures.

Coleraine is set to be the heart of the celebrations—join them for a day rich in heritage, pride, and unity as we commemorate the Twelfth in true tradition.
