About

Ballywillan Drama Group is delighted to bring the much-loved Broadway classic Guys and Dolls to Coleraine Leisure Centre in a bold, large-scale production that reimagines this timeless musical in an exciting new setting.

Set in the colourful, fast-talking world of 1950s New York, Guys and Dolls follows a vibrant cast of gamblers, showgirls, missionaries and dreamers as their lives collide in a whirlwind of luck, love and unlikely romance. At the heart of the story are the charming rogue Sky Masterson, the perpetually scheming Nathan Detroit, nightclub performer Miss Adelaide, and straight-laced mission worker Sarah Brown. As bets are placed, hearts are tested, and fortunes change, the show delivers a joyful, warm-hearted celebration of human connection and second chances.

This production makes full use of Coleraine Leisure Centre as a performance space, transforming it into a dynamic theatrical environment with creative large-scale sets, a huge digital screen, and bold lighting and sound design. The result is a visually striking show that feels cinematic, immersive, and bigger than ever before.

Featuring Frank Loesser's unforgettable score — including classics such as Luck Be a Lady, Sit Down, You're Rockin' the Boat, and Adelaide's Lament — this production promises toe-tapping numbers, energetic dance routines, and powerful ensemble moments. With a large cast drawn from across the Causeway Coast and beyond, the show showcases outstanding local musical theatre talent, backed by months of dedicated rehearsal and creative collaboration.

This production brings together experienced performers, emerging talent, and a committed creative team to deliver a show that is entertaining, polished, and full of heart.

Whether you're a long-time fan of musical theatre or seeing Guys and Dolls for the first time, this production offers a brilliant night out — full of laughter, romance, iconic songs, and spectacular staging. Perfect for families, friends, and theatre-lovers of all ages, Guys and Dolls at Coleraine Leisure Centre is a must-see event in the local arts calendar.
