A group taking part in a rockpooling event in the bays of Port Ganny at the Giant's Causeway

About

Have you ever wondered what lives beneath the waves? Step into a secret world along the shoreline and uncover the fascinating marine wildlife that call the Giant's Causeway their home!

Join passionate Nature Engagement Officer, Dr Cliff Henry on Tuesday 19 August for a hands-on GIANT rockpooling adventure in the scenic bays of Port Ganny, as part of the Giant's Causeway's extensive Summer of Play programme, sponsored by Starling Bank.

From tiny crabs to slippery seaweed and colourful creatures hidden in plain sight, this is your chance to get up close with some of nature's most curious coastal residents that call Northern Ireland's iconic World Heritage Site their home - perfect for families and budding marine biologists of all ages!

This event will take place from 2pm - 4pm.

National Trust Members and Local Pass Holders gain free access. Online booking is strongly recommended in advance via the official Giant's Causeway website. This is a free event; normal admission charges apply.

Ticket price includes the full Visitor Experience; access to guided tours with an award-winning storytelling team, use of hand-held audio guides, access to exhibition and interpretation areas, the shop and cafe, use of all facilities, including the loan of accessibility equipment and reserved on-site parking.

Before summer slips away, grab your family and friends for a fun-filled afternoon, discovering the tiny wonders of the wild coastline!
