This Moderate afternoon walk is 6-8km along a section of the Lough Foyle Trail. It will focus on the cultural heritage surrounding the Broighter Hoard and reflect on the maritime connections between the local community and the history of Lough Foyle. The importance of the Broighter Hoard and the historic legal controversies around it will be discussed.The route is on flat minor roads and trails and is suitable for people with a moderate level of fitness. Walkers should come prepared with rainwear, robust footwear, a snack, water and hot drink. Tea and coffee and refreshments will be served in Magilligan Community Centre afterwards
