About

Stay somewhere with a story at Railway Sleeper Hostel, set within Castlerock’s historic railway station, dating back to 1853. In the heart of the village and a short walk from the beach, we offer a relaxed, welcoming base for exploring Northern Ireland’s Causeway Coast.

Our 30 beds are arranged across 5 six bed dorm rooms, including a female only dorm. Privacy curtains and individual bedside lights give each guest their own comfortable space, with bed linen included and lockers available. Bathrooms are shared, and guests have access to a communal self-catering kitchen, a cosy snug lounge and free Wi-Fi. Self check-in makes arrival straightforward.

Spend your days enjoying Castlerock Beach, exploring nearby Downhill and Mussenden Temple, or heading further afield by train. With Castlerock railway station on your doorstep, the hostel is ideally placed for a coastal break without a car.

For an extra treat, book a session at Hot Rocks Sauna Castlerock, our on site wood fired sauna and cold plunge experience. Sauna sessions are booked separately and carry an additional charge.

Solo travellers, friends and groups are all welcome, with exclusive use of the hostel available for group bookings, subject to availability.
