For us, one of the best things about exploring the great outdoors is the refuelling before hand! Treat yourself to a relaxing stroll followed by a good catch up with friends while you wolf down these tasty treats:

Pudgy Puffin

Haven't tried a Pudgy Bowl yet? Then you haven't lived. Tucked away in Coleraine's Loughanhill Industrial Estate, the Pudgy Puffin is quickly rising to foodie fame thanks to their incredible concoction of flavours and filling combinations. We also hear they're changing the game with a mindblowing peanut butter burger too.

Hungry Giant Causeway

Just a couple hundred metres from the iconic Giant's Causeway, you'll find this little hatch serving up some BIG flavours! We've spotted a Bushmills Whiskey Infused Beef Burger on the menu too, we'll race you there!

The Village Kitchen

Tucked away in the beautiful coastal village of Castlerock, The Village Kitchen is a perfect pit-stop for refuelling during your Causeway Coast travels. Serving up tasty Asian-inspired cuisine such as bao buns, or home-grown Portavogie prawns in a brioche roll, the servings at The Village Kitchen will keep you ticking over all day.

Mini Maegden

The cheese toastie: a simple and yet highly underrated staple of diets the world over. The folks at Mini Maegden, located on the Causeway Road, have taken one of the most basic of hot snacks and turned it in to a mindblowing, gourmet experience.  You can thank us later.

Wolf It Down

Serving up a wide range of sweet treats, burgers, light bites and meals, this mobile café based on the Bushmills Road has something to suit all tastes and appetites. Perfect at any time of the day!

Meatbox

What’s your go to pick me up? For some of us, it’s a walk along the beach followed by a good hearty feed. In Castlerock, you can experience just that with a lengthy stroll on Castlerock Beach followed by a juicy burger from Meatbox NI. Having won Best Burger in Ireland (2018), they are more than deserving of bragging rights when it comes to rustling up some of the best street food in the area!

Crumb and Beyond

What’s better than coffee with friends? Coffee with doughnuts, of course! Whether you’re meeting for an outdoor chinwag with family and friends, or you just fancy taking yourself on a little coffee date, Crumb and Beyond offer way more than just your average caramel latte. Serving up street-style fried doughnut balls (and a whole lot of other satisfying desserts!), this is a must try for those with a sweet tooth! You’ll find them at West Bay, Portrush.

Stranded Burger

Ok, hear us out: hand-smashed burgers. These juicy patties come courtesy of Kilrea’s hippest burger joint. Oozing with melted cheese, packed with flavour, and lovingly crafted from 100% locally produced beef, you’ll struggle to order just one!

Steel Yard Café

This one is a bit of an all-rounder! In the mood for some spicy chicken? A builder's breakfast? What about a sweet latte and a cheeky tray bake? Steel Yard Café is situated at McComb's Steel Yard outside of Ballymoney, be sure to check it out the next time you're in the area!

Which of these incredible street food joints will you try first?
