About

A celebration of local crafters taking place over August in Bushmills. This event will include three workshops hosted at various points throughout the month, each led by one of our incredibly talented artisans. Patricia Millar will demonstrate throwing on a potter’s wheel and how to prepare pots for pit firing; an ancient technique that she uses at her studio near the Giant’s Causeway. Examples of her pit-fired pots will be on display.

Join Eleanor-Jane who will demonstrate Tiffany-style glass making - a technique featured on Sky Arts 'Painting Birds' Series 2, when she taught Jim (Vic Reeves) and Nancy Moir how to make a Tiffany glass puffin, which they now hang in their home.  Eleanor-Jane holds workshops in The Boat House Gallery, beside The Giant's Causeway, if you'd like to see try this glass making technique for yourself.

Join Yolande as she brings to life the age-old Irish tradition of spinning locally sourced wool and weaving it on her loom. With skilled hands and a deep connection to heritage, she transforms raw fleece into beautifully textured yarn, then intricately weaves it into unique textiles. This timeless craft, passed down through generations, is a celebration of local materials, sustainable practices. Watch as tradition and creativity intertwine in a process that honours both the past and the present.
