About

Navigate your way around Somerset Forest, exploring the Coleraine woodland next to the River Bann. In this Orienteering experience you will be provided with a map which you will use to find control points marked on the map.

There will be coaches at hand to help explain each activity before sending you off on each course. Whether you choose to have a leisurely walk round with family or challenge your friends to a race there will be a course for you. Courses will be between 2km and 5 km in length, so suitable for all ages.

Information/registration point will be in the forest car park. Additional parking is on other side of the Castleroe Road (A54). Upon arriving you will be met by an orienteering coach who will provide you with a map and explain the activity, before sending you off to explore the course. There will be a number of Orienteering activities and courses set up to support all ages. There will also be a course suitable for participants who require the use of a wheelchair or child buggy or children on bikes/scooters. Along with your sense of adventure, all you need to bring is clothing and footwear suitable for weather.
