About

Join North Coast Book Club and award-winning Belfast writer Jan Carson for an evening of storytelling and discussion around her new novel, Few & Far Between. Set in an imagined Northern Ireland, Jan’s novel follows the last residents of the Lough Neagh Archipelago as they face eviction, a looming flood, and the challenge of leaving the past behind. Haunted islands, a community in turmoil, and secrets that won’t stay buried — it’s a captivating exploration of place, memory, and resilience.

Whether you’ve already picked up a copy or are curious to hear Jan speak before diving in, all are welcome to this relaxed and inspiring conversation in our Auditorium.

Jan will also be hosting a Short Story Writing Masterclass with us on Saturday 1 August - Find out more
