Summer Lunchtime Recitals at St Patrick's Church, Coleraine

The Summer Lunchtime Recitals are back in St Patrick's Church, Coleraine for 2025. Starting on Thursday 31 July at 12.30pm the recitals run for four consecutive Thursdays through to Thursday 21 August.

Started some years ago by Reggie Patterson, they were welcomed back after a break during the pandemic. Ever popular, the recitals give a platform for professional and amateur artistes. Admission is free of charge, however, donations to help cover costs are welcome.

The recitals begin at 12.30pm and are followed by a light lunch of sandwiches, tea/coffee.

Fiona Gryson, the fabulous Dublin harpist enjoys a varied career as a professional freelance harpist and teacher. She is no stranger to Coleraine, having been a recitalist at St Patrick's in 2023 and guest soloist for Cantemus Choir NI at their Christmas concerts.

Patrick's is delighted to give Niamh this recital opportunity. Niamh finds deep joy in expressing the meaning behind lyrics, telling the story behind the song and worshipping God through voice and music.

Thursday 14 August
Ruth McGinley is the highly acclaimed Derry-born pianist. By age 16 Ruth had already gained widespread recognition as one of Ireland's leading pianists, winning countless accolades including the piano final of the BBC Young Musician of the Year award. This is Ruth's first visit to St Patrick's Coleraine – not to be missed!

Thursday 21 August
Neale Agnew (organ) has worked with many of Ulster's leading choral groups and his interest in liturgical music has given him opportunities to perform at venues throughout Ireland, in England, in Germany, in Austria and the USA.
Neale recently became an Associate of the Royal College of Organists (ARCO).
