DUNLUCE CASTLE

Daily (times to suit)

This is the most historically significant site in the province of Ulster and we are very proud to be the only company to have the permission from the MacDonnells of Antrim to conduct guided tours here. Our principal guide Mark Rodgers is the official guide for the MacDonnell family and he has created a wonderfully historic adventure to bring this iconic ruin back to life.

This tour lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour and is available for individuals, couples or groups. £30.00 per person.  (Group rates available) Price includes onsite parking and entrance into Dunluce Castle.

Dunluce castle’s history dates back to between the 4th and 8th centuries and it has unfolded through the ages to create one of the most fantastic stories. We are the only company providing a tour of this iconic site with the permission of the MacDonnell family

A walk with us around this iconic landmark will introduce you to the families who had their homes here. The tour will reveal the periods in time in which the families lived and the relevant world history of those times. The architecture is still amazing to standby 400 years after it was actually built. BEYOND THE BRIDGE

Beyond the Bridge affords you access to a piece of living history, “the fishery” is a place to find peace, time spent here is good for the soul.

Experiences don’t get more authentic, or more memorable than this. The adrenaline rush of crossing the rope bridge, suspended 100 ft above sea level, attracts visitors from around the world. It wasn’t always like this. From the mid-1700s until the early 21st century, it was a pathway to a salmon fishing industry that sustained generations of local families. You’re about to become one of the few people who have stepped beyond this bridge, and experience what it feels like to go back in time, to the tiny island of Carrick-a-Rede. This is unchanged since the last fishermen left here decades ago.

“People are living life at a 100 miles per hour,” says Mark Rodgers, “Just sit here in the silence and listen to what that sounds like; take in the beauty of this place, there is nowhere like this place it is good for the soul”

Departure time : 15 mins prior to tour.  Price includes onsite parking, the crossing of the rope bridge and the unique experience of visiting the old fisherman’s bothy.

DANDER WITH DALRIADA

The Giants Causeway is my home. I love it and its people very dearly, and my desire to keep alive this family tradition drove me to create this unique blend of old world skills and modern day techniques and deliver a tour our families would be proud of.

The tour pays homage to a way of life that for too long has been a secret to the world. It identifies the people of the Causeway, tells you stories about their lives and how – even before the Victorian era – they created the benchmark for us all to follow in creating memories that last. This tour is their heritage and it is the legacy of a very special man, William John Purdy. I want to capture the spirit of the Causeway and share it with my guests so they can leave with a story of their own to tell. For years to come they will remember these people who were giants amongst men on their ancestral home.

COST: £95.00 per person (Group rates available)

Departure time: 15 mins prior to tour.  This is an extensive tour of the Causeway site.

Price includes onsite parking, entrance into National Trust Visitors Centre and

Tea / Coffee and scones in Causeway Hotel afterwards.
