About
The Boat House Gallery is one of the North Coast’s best-kept secrets - a quietly remarkable place tucked away at Innisfree Farm, literally a stone’s throw from the world-famous Giant’s Causeway. Shaped by the land and its ancient stones, the gallery feels deeply connected to the rugged coastline and creative spirit of the area.
Housed in a beautifully restored cow byre, the gallery takes its name from “The Arrow”, a traditional Drontheim racing fishing boat suspended dramatically from the ceiling - a striking reminder of the region’s maritime heritage.
At its heart, The Boat House Gallery is a living, working space for a small collective of artists and makers whose practices are inspired by the landscape, light, and raw materials of the North Coast. These include Eleanor-Jane McCartney, a glass artist who also runs regular glass workshops; Adam Frew, ceramicist; Judith Logan, painter/printmaker; and Conor Edgell, seascape photographer. Together, their work reflects the textures of stone, sea, and sky that define this extraordinary place.
A visit to The Boat House Gallery is not just about viewing art, it’s about discovering a hidden creative haven where craft, landscape, and history meet.
