About

Abhainn Cruises provide Private Charter tours departing from the seaside town of Ballycastle.  Explore the legendary causeway coast steeped in history and mythology with Skippers Tim and Ben who are Accredited OCN qualified tour guides.  They will entertain your group with tales of smuggling, stories of shipwrecks, Scottish Kings, Viking raids and even giants, all while you enjoy the scenic seascape, enthralling geology and wonderful wildlife around you.  Not only are Abhainn Cruises passionate about sharing the stories of our causeway coast, they are Accredited Wildlife Safe Boat Operators who have pledged to respect and protect the precious wildlife of the coast and sea while allowing passengers to view and learn about our wildlife in a safe and sustainable manner.

Fast RHIBs Stormborn (12 seater) and Endurance (10 seater) allow passengers a combination of speed and agility; getting closer to sites of interest with excellent sight-seeing views.  Comfortable life jackets are provided for all passengers and warm 'dry suits' are provided on the more open RHIB Endurance during colder weather.  Swimming from the boats is allowed on some of the tours, weather and sea state permitting.  Personal buoyancy aids are provided for all swimmers as safety is paramount.

Lots of adventures to choose from including;

Carrick-a-Rede Sea Safari

Around the Sound Rathlin Experience

The Full Monty - Rathlin Circumnavigation

Bruce's Cave Experience

Private Day Charter to Islay Scotland

Whichever experience you choose, you will enjoy a warm welcome and plenty of 'craic' onboard RHIB Stormborn or RHIB Endurance.
