About

Breakwater Studio on Rathlin Island is the Studio and Home of Yvonne Braithwaite.

Originally from Killinchy, County Down, Yvonne has exhibited in a variety of galleries both locally and internationally and continues to produce works in the form of commissions of local scenes of landscapes and seascapes on Rathlin and around Ireland. Her preferred medium is acrylic however she has produced some works in watercolour. She is a full member of The Art Society of Ulster and an active member of Kilmood Art Club.

Some examples of Yvonne's previous and current works can be viewed on her website. She also produces prints and cards, and her own range of tea towels, aprons and Bags for Life, based on her original paintings, available direct from the Studio.

Yvonne is generally in residence at the Studio all year round and would be pleased to welcome you should you make a visit to Rathlin.

We are acutely aware that the Covid19 Pandemic is not over so with that in mind we have introduced some measures to both protect the Public and also our Staff.

We will be providing access to Hand Sanitiser as you enter the Studio
Access to the Studio will be limited to 3 persons at any one time
Please respect social distancing as indicated by the floor spacing
Staff will be working behind screens
Children under the age of 16 years are not permitted inside the Studio
In time we hope that we will be able to return to normal but in the meantime please respect the measures we have put in place.

Thank you for your support in advance.
