About

Step beyond the ordinary this Halloween and immerse yourself in a night where shadows whisper, spirits stir, and the veil between history and legend grows thin.

Perched on the windswept Causeway Coast, overlooking the world-famous Giant's Causeway, The Causeway Hotel proudly announces the return of its annual Halloween Paranormal Ghost Tour with Ghost Stories of Ulster author and paranormal guide Francis Higgins – an event set to
captivate visitors from near and far.

A Storied Past: The Causeway Hotel's Legacy
Since 1836, The Causeway Hotel has welcomed travellers drawn to the wild beauty of Northern
Ireland's coast. Behind its grand façade lies more than warm hospitality – countless chilling tales and ghostly encounters have echoed through its corridors for nearly two centuries.

A Night to Remember: The Ghost Tour Experience
Guests will begin the evening in the hotel's historic Drawing Room, where Francis Higgins will share true ghost stories from his book before using specialist paranormal equipment to detect any spirits present.

From there, the tour winds through the oldest corridors and most haunted rooms of the hotel. Guests will experience:
- Room 7 – infamous for flickering lights and objects that move on their own.
- The Bar – where poltergeists are rumoured to clear tables without warning.
- The Grand Staircase – notorious for sudden chills, ghostly drafts, and unexplained phenomena.

The Legend of the Phantom Child
Among the many stories, the tale of the Phantom Child remains the most haunting. Visitors have reported hearing laughter and footsteps echoing down empty hallways, and some even glimpse a fleeting figure in a white nightgown disappearing into the shadows.
Local lore claims she was a young guest who tragically passed away in the late 1800s – a spirit
forever searching for her family among the living.

Suitable for All Brave Souls
While designed to thrill, the tour is suitable for families, history lovers, and paranormal investigators alike. The Causeway Hotel team ensures a safe, welcoming environment so every guest leaves with spine-tingling memories.
