About
Join Jenna from Sychar's Well on 21st of November for a festive, creative and experimental morning block printing your own set of Christmas-themed forever crackers. The crackers will be made by printing a set of four napkins, inserting a cardboard tube into each one, tied off by ribbons at either end - meaning both your napkins and crackers will be sorted for the upcoming festive season**! The workshop will take place at Camus House, one of the most beautiful and historic homes in the country.
The workshop will run from 10.30am until 2pm. After some warming festive (non-alcoholic) mulled punch to kick-start the morning, the workshop will begin with participants learning about pattern making, and will spend some time experimenting with Jenna's own handcut Christmas-themed blocks to create your own unique pattern. After learning printing techniques and test printing on paper, you will hand print your own unique pattern on a set of four fine cotton napkins which you can take home and treasure- but importantly, which can be used every year at festive meals.
Guests will be provided with festive refreshments during the workshop: scones infused with the sweet flavours of Christmas, mince pies, gingerbread and tea & coffee.
Guests' seating for the workshop will be split between the homely kitchen and the cook's quarters at Camus House.
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners. Please note that as you will be working with textile ink, it is necessary to either bring an old apron or to not wear your finery!
*After purchasing, please email to inform of any dietary requirements, should you have any.
**Please note that the forever crackers will consist of four quality cotton napkins, the cardboard inserts which can be used each year, and the ribbons. They do not include items for inside Christmas crackers.
***If you should need to request a refund, notification must be made 3 weeks prior to the workshop, otherwise participants who cannot attend may transfer their ticket to a friend. Tickets cannot be transferred to a different workshop.
