About

We are thrilled to invite you to a special event where we will share the latest, ground breaking updates from the LIFE Raft (Rathlin Acting for Tomorrow) project on beautiful Rathlin Island.

This is your chance to hear first hand about one of the most ambitious and inspiring conservation efforts currently underway — the complete eradication of invasive brown rats and ferrets from Rathlin Island. After years of careful planning, dedicated work, and community collaboration, the LIFE Raft team has made remarkable strides toward protecting Rathlin's unique and fragile ecosystem. These invasive species have posed serious threats to the island's native wildlife, especially its internationally important seabird populations and rare plants. Now, thanks to the hard work of our team and the incredible support of the Rathlin community, we are closer than ever to securing the future of the island's natural heritage.

During this exciting session, you'll get an insider's view into the challenges, triumphs, and innovative techniques that have made this ground breaking project a success story in the making. You'll hear directly from the experts leading the charge, see exclusive footage from the field, and learn about the extraordinary benefits this work will bring — not just for Rathlin, but as a model for conservation around the world. Whether you're a conservation enthusiast, a wildlife lover, a local resident, or simply curious about this extraordinary effort, this is an event you won't want to miss.

Come and be inspired by the determination, collaboration, and passion that are helping to safeguard Rathlin's future for generations to come. Mark your calendars and join us for an hour of exciting stories, incredible progress, and a glimpse into the brighter, wilder future of Rathlin Island!

40 max per session.

2 sessions held on Saturday 13th September
