About

To celebrate European Heritage Open Days 2026, The Kiln Wing in Bushmills will be open on Sunday 13th September from 10am to 4pm. This is a free event and a chance to explore a beautifully restored part of a 19th-century corn mill. Set beside a rushing river, this unique building retains much of its original character, offering visitors a self-guided tour through heritage architecture and thoughtful conservation work in an atmospheric industrial setting.

Managed by the Irish Landmark Trust, an educational charity dedicated to saving, sharing and sustaining Ireland’s built heritage, the site reflects how distinctive historic buildings—from lighthouses to schoolhouses and castles—can be carefully conserved and brought back into meaningful use.
