Welcome to The Botháns – mountain hideaways with a difference.

Individually curated cabins, completely secluded, nestled in Binevenagh’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, on the North Coast of Ireland.

Spread over 13 acres, The Botháns are a place to escape, explore, unwind and recharge. Each cabin is nestled in a field of its own – creating your own little hideaway. 

Two handcrafted cabins, offering curated luxury and designed to embrace their stunning surroundings. Cook a delicious meal in the handmade kitchen or on the firepit outside. Enjoy a cosy morning lie-in in the comfy king size bed or blissfully soak surrounded by nature in the woodfired outdoor bath. 

Cabin one – The Hideaway 

Our cosy two-person cabin, nestled on the banks of The Botháns lake, is perfect for a romantic getaway, an escape to the countryside or a tranquil base to explore the stunning Causeway Coast.  Thoughtfully designed with everything you need to relax, recharge and explore. Crafted with tranquil lakeside views, brimming with nature all around. 

The cabin includes: 

- open plan living, bedroom, kitchen area with woodburner

- large ensuite shower room with walk in shower

- outside on the private veranda a woodfired outdoor bath and outdoor seating and fire pit

Public Transport Directions

The Botháns are on the North Coast of Northern Ireland, located on the outskirts of the coastal village of Castlerock. A 10-minute drive from Coleraine, approximately 40 minutes from Londonderry and just over an hour’s drive from Belfast. Dublin is 3 hours away. 

Train services are available from Castlerock. Due to our rural location a car is advisable for your stay. 

The Botháns has its own carpark with a space to leave your car for each cabin. You cannot drive right up to the cabins; both are a short walk from the carpark. A wheelbarrow to transport your belongings is provided. The walkways has low level lighting. 

There currently is no EV charging point, but if you require charging during your stay please contact us.
