About

Road Racing is a unique feature of Northern Ireland's sporting heritage, attracting fans from over the world. The Armoy Road Races, known as the Race of Legends, celebrates that heritage through it's location on the roads where the legendary Armoy Armada (Frank Kennedy, Mervyn Robinson, Joey Dunlop and Jim Dunlop) learned their craft.

The Race of Legends offers high octane motorcycle road racing with the best of Northern Irish hospitality.

The Armoy Road Races - the Race of Legends is now well established in Northern Ireland's Road Racing Calendar, with the event being held on the last Friday & Saturday in July every year since 2009.

Of all the national road races, it is one of the most authentic experiences for its scale and accessibility, while attracting the top modern riders like Michael Dunlop, Guy Martin, Dean Harrison, Davy Todd, Jamie Coward, Adam McLean, Dominic Herbertson and Paul Jordan, Barry Davidson, Joey Thompson, Darryl Tweed and Neil Kernoghan.

The road races, organised entirely by a team of local people and volunteers, has transformed from a 2 day race event to a week long experience with visitor attractions throughout the week including Truck Show & Run, Motorcycle Ride Out, Vintage & Classic Car show with Parade and Classic & Modern bike display with parade laps around the roads used as the Road Race Circuit. The race has become well established and is an excellent event for all ages.
