Embark into the twilight and discover a hidden world that comes alive after dark at Downhill Demesne, with Local Bat Expert, Karen Healy from the Northern Ireland Bat Group.

This unforgettable evening kicks off with a lively and engaging talk from Karen, packed full of surprising facts about these fascinating, but often misunderstood nocturnal creatures. From their mischievous night-time navigation skills to the vital role they play in our ecosystem, you'll soon see bats in a whole new light...

If you think you know your bats, this is your opportunity to put your knowledge to the test in Karen's fun and interactive quiz AND, enjoy some bat-themed activities that are guaranteed to entertain curious minds of all ages.

As dusk falls, the adventure continues outdoors into the atmospheric surroundings of Downhill Forest. If you're lucky enough, you might just spot one of our nocturnal friends up close!

This event is suitable for children aged 7 and over, accompanied by an adult. Please bring a torch, if you have one.
