An Evening with MICHAEL LEWIS, Author of FLIGHT FROM PRAGUE, Seamus McKee will moderate.

9 June 2026 at 7.00 pm Sheskburn Centre - Boardroom Michael Lewis will present his recently published book: Flight from Prague, which recounts his father Harry's arduous journey during WWII from Prague to freedom in Belfast. Michael will have just presented his book at the Belfast Book
Festival the day before and will be with Lir Arts in Ballycastle the following day, 9th June. If you have been able to attend the screening of A TIME TO DANCE on 27th May, you will have seen Harry and his wife, Helen, together in the film. Attendance is free, but there will be limited availability for this event so please reserve early by replying to this email: lirartsfestival@gmail.com.

For insurance reasons, Lir Arts are required to monitor the attendee headcount and not to exceed the maximum headcount for the venue. If you would like to make a cash donation of £5 at the door to help cover the cost of renting of the room in Sheskburn, it would be appreciated. (Sorry, Lir Arts cannot accept cards.) Copies of Michael's book will be available for sale on the evening. Seamus McKee is a journalist and broadcaster. He has presented news, current affairs, arts programmes and documentaries on radio and television, including Good MorningUlster, Spotlight and The Radio Two Arts Programme. Most recently he presented Evening Extra on Radio Ulster. Since leaving the BBC in 2020 he has been involved as a board member in The Ulster History Circle, The Linenhall Library and Ulster Wildlife. He continues to facilitate discussions and conduct public interviews.
