Ulster Orchestra Concert

Church of Saint Patrick and Saint Brigid, 10 Moyle Road, Ballycastle, County Antrim, BT54 6LB
a mass service assembled in the church

About

A trip to the Lir Arts Festival is fast becoming a favourite fixture in the Ulster Orchestra's calendar, and they are delighted to return to Ballycastle once again.

Orchestra Leader Ioana Petcu-Colan will be at the helm as small ensembles from across the Orchestra perform a selection of music from across the ages, including Tchaikovsky's joyous tribute to a favourite city in Souvenir de Florence and Dvořák's vibrant, driving Slavonic Dances. And the Orchestra shines the spotlight on the unjustly neglected French composer Louise Farrenc, performing her richly melodic Nonet for strings and wind.
