About

Built in 1846, “The Tower” sits proudly in the middle of a row of six terraced cottages known as the Old Coastguard Cottages, Ballycastle. This 3-storey sandstone building was used as the Coastguards watch tower until the 1920’s. It has fantastic panoramic views out to Fairhead, Rathlin Island and over the Irish Sea to Scotland.

There are three double bedrooms including one with ensuite, one bathroom, a ground floor living room with gas fire and a beautiful kitchen/dining room. The kitchen/dining room, and the living room both have original unique brick arch ceilings. All other rooms upstairs have high ceilings and sliding sash windows looking out over the Sea. The kitchen is fitted with a full range of modern appliances, including a dishwasher and a fridge freezer with a table that seats six people.

“The Tower” has 3 bedrooms with the master bedroom having an en suite shower room with a power shower, basin and wc. All rooms have views out over the beach and golf course. The family bathroom has a bath, separate shower, toilet and basin and a wooden floor with ornate wall panelling.

The main living room has a brick arch ceiling, original fireplace with gas fire, comfortable sofa and chairs, carpet with rugs and TV, CD player and Radio.

The original circular sandstone staircase can take you from ground floor to the newly created roof garden which provides spectacular views of Fairhead, Rathlin and Mull of Kintyre.
