Laragh Lodge was built in 1890 and served as a tea house for tourists visiting the famous walks and waterfalls of Gleariffe Glen. Glenariffe (Queen of The Glens) is situated amid the world famous Glens of Antrim, an area of outstanding natural beauty where tourists have been coming for years. Laragh Lodge takes its name from the Ess-Na-Laragh waterfall meaning (the fall of the mare). The restaurant is situated right beside the Ess-Na-Grub waterfall meaning (the fall of the hooves).

A warm welcome awaits you at this Award Winning family run licensed restaurant tucked away at the bottom of Glenariffe Forest Park. Few dining experiences compare with the magnificent backdrop of cascading waterfalls and mature woodlands and facing the sea a short distance away. Large windows ensure diners enjoy the majestic views while they sample our freshly cooked to order, locally sourced ingredients. The ultimate experience as you wine and dine in the evening is to watch the water flow past and make its way down the rocky creeks, all lit up by floodlighting. If you watch closely you may even see a red squirrel.

Whether your choice is mouth-watering homemade scones, something from our daily specials menu or something more substantial you will always receive a warm Irish welcome and an offer of a lift back to your car, if you have left your car at the top entrance to the forest park, and don't feel like the walk back.

Why not relax with a wee tipple on our comfy sofas or have an ice-cream in the patio area to cool down after a walk around the waterfalls.
