About

Set on our family-run working farm near Limavady, along Northern Ireland's beautiful Causeway Coastal Route, Crindle Stables offers a wide range of horse riding experiences and activities for all ages and abilities.

At Crindle Stables, our aim is simple – to create a fun, friendly and inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome, no matter their age, ability or experience with horses. Whether it's your first time meeting a pony or you've been riding for years, we want everyone to leave with a smile on their face, having had plenty of fun along the way!

We believe there's so much more to horses than just riding. It's about building confidence, making connections, learning something new and enjoying time outdoors with our wonderful horses and ponies.

There's something for everyone at Crindle!

Horse Riding Lessons – Group and private lessons for children and adults, from complete beginners to experienced riders. Our friendly instructors make learning fun, helping riders develop their skills and confidence at their own pace.

Toddler Pony Sessions – One of our most popular activities! These fun 30-minute sessions are a lovely introduction to ponies for children aged 1–6, combining hands-on pony care, games and gentle riding.

Adventure Rides – Another firm favourite! Our fun-filled, one-hour Adventure Rides are a great way to enjoy a little bit of everything. Children will get to meet their horse or pony, enjoy a mini riding lesson, take part in some fun pony games, head off on a wee countryside trek (weather permitting) and finish with some hands-on grooming. A lovely way to build confidence, learn new skills and, most importantly, have lots of fun!

Countryside Treks – Enjoy some time away from the hustle and bustle with a relaxing ride through our beautiful countryside, taking in the scenery around our family farm.

Beach Horse Riding – Explore the stunning Benone and Downhill Beach on horseback, with beautiful views of Mussenden Temple and the surrounding Causeway Coast. An unforgettable experience for those looking to enjoy Northern Ireland's coastline from the saddle.

Pony Birthday Parties – Celebrate with a difference! Our pony parties are full of fun, with hands-on pony activities, grooming, riding and games. A lovely way to celebrate with friends and family.

Pony Experiences & Seasonal Activities – From our Little Hooves Club and pony care activities to Halloween, Easter and Christmas adventures, we offer plenty of opportunities for our younger visitors to get involved.

Inclusive & Sensory Riding Sessions – Inclusivity is a big part of what we do at Crindle. We welcome children and adults with additional needs and offer adapted riding and sensory sessions through our B.R.I.D.L.E. programme (Bringing Riding Into Disabled Lives Equally). Our focus is on making horses accessible to as many people as possible, with activities tailored to individual needs, abilities and confidence levels.

Crindle Bespoke Private Experiences – For those looking for something extra special, our sister brand, Crindle Bespoke, offers luxury private riding experiences, combining the beauty of the Causeway Coast with warm Irish hospitality, beautiful scenery and a personal touch.

As a family-run business, we love welcoming people to our farm, whether they're from just down the road or visiting Northern Ireland for the first time.

We have a wonderful team of staff and a lovely range of horses and ponies, each with their own personality. We love giving visitors the chance to get to know them, whether that's through riding, grooming or simply spending time together.

For us, it's not about being the best rider or getting everything right. It's about giving things a go, having fun, building confidence and leaving with a smile on your face.
