About

Kintra boat tours sail all year round from Ballycastle along the North Coast and Rathlin Island, one of Irelands most spectacular wildlife habitats with breath taking scenery.

Kintra is a modern purpose built passenger boat for sightseeing tours. Licenced by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency for 55 passengers. Hot drinks and toilet facility onboard.

Our skippers are incredibly knowledgeable about the geography, history and the wildlife of the North coast and Rathlin Island. We also have an on-board wildlife guide and we are happy to answer all your questions before, after and during our trips.

Take a look at our boats and different trips & tours. Then plan your visit and reserve your place online now!

The North Coast and Rathlin island surrounding seas are an internationally important wildlife reserve. During the spring breeding season over 100,000 pairs of puffins, guillemots, razorbills, eider ducks, kittiwakes, fulmars, shags, cormorants, Arctic and common terns, plus more make the cliffs their temporary home. Gannets are regular visitors to feed in the rich seas along the North Coast.

Throughout the year hundreds of grey and common seals can be seen basking on the rocks.

Cetacean sightings are frequent too with good sightings of harbour porpoise, bottlenose dolphins, common dolphin, Risso dolphin, Minke whale and basking sharks in late summer.

Trips depart from Ballycastle Harbour daily during the summer months and can booked online or by telephone. Follow us on Facebook for daily updates.
