About

On a peaceful rural farm in the village of Greysteel, just 9 miles from Derry, sits a beautifully restored 150-year-old barn at the home of harpist, Lucia McGinnis. The setting offers sweeping views over Lough Foyle towards Inishowen and Binevenagh, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Specially curated experiences offers a rare opportunity to connect with Ireland's thousand-year harping tradition in an intimate and authentic setting.

Lucia brings years of professional performance, teaching and therapeutic experience, offering a warm, engaging introduction to the harp's rich cultural history. Each experience begins with a journey into the local musical landscape, close to the town that inspired the song Danny Boy. Enjoy live harp music, hear the stories behind the tradition, and take part in a gentle, hands-on introduction where you can hold and play a harp. Through fun, interactive guidance, even complete beginners can learn a simple Irish tune leaving with a sense of connection, enjoyment, and achievement.

At the heart of each experience is the Irish harp itself, a connection to the culture, history and identity that resonates long after the final note fades.

Workshop

During this workshop, you'll learn about local music, the tradition of harp-playing in Ireland, and listen to Lucia beautifully demonstrate her skills before having a go yourself on your own miniature harp.
