About

Stendhal Festival 2026 Returns With Huge Line-Up and Something for Everyone

Northern Ireland’s biggest and best loved independent music and arts festival, Stendhal Festival, returns from July 2nd–4th 2026 with another incredible weekend of music, creativity, family fun and unforgettable summer memories.

Since first launching in 2011, Stendhal has grown into one of Ireland’s most unique festival experiences, combining world-class music with comedy, poetry, visual arts, wellbeing experiences and one of the country’s most celebrated family programmes.

This year’s line-up is one of the festival’s strongest yet, featuring Britpop legends Cast, folk favourites The Tumbling Paddies, high-energy pagan trad stars HuartanThe Commitments actor and musician Robert Arkins, legendary turntablist DJ Yoda, dub pioneer Mad Professor, acclaimed jazz and blues icon Mary Coughlan, beloved Irish world music group Kíla and many more iconic acts.

Whether you’re looking for huge singalongs, late-night dancing, chilled-out acoustic moments or discovering your next favourite artist, Stendhal continues to deliver a festival experience with something for absolutely everyone.

Families remain at the heart of the festival. Over the years, Stendhal has received multiple awards recognising it as Ireland’s Best Family Festival, thanks to its extensive family-friendly programming and welcoming atmosphere for festival-goers of all ages. Organisers continue to expand the children’s entertainment and creative activities each year, ensuring the festival remains a standout summer experience for families across Ireland and beyond.

Food lovers are also well catered for, with a diverse range of food stalls and trailers offering everything from indulgent street food to fresh vegetarian and vegan options across the festival site.

Located in Limavady, Stendhal also offers visitors the perfect opportunity to explore the wider North West. Positioned at the gateway to the stunning Causeway Coastal Route and close to Derry, Donegal and Portrush, the festival provides the ideal base for a longer summer escape.

For those who prefer not to camp, the Limavady and Causeway Coast areas offer a wide range of accommodation options, all surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery on the island of Ireland.

With tickets already selling quickly, festival organisers are encouraging people to secure theirs soon and kickstart summer 2026 in style at Stendhal Festival.
