About

Join Local Landscape Artist, Sarah Carrington for a vibrant and engaging Walk and Sketch Session at Downhill Demesne, where dramatic clifftop views and historic buildings bring endless inspiration for your canvas.

Working with watercolour and expressive mark-making, you'll explore the rich textures, shifting weather patterns and the changing light of this remarkable coastal landscape.

Stopping at key viewpoints along the way to sketch and observe, take in the sweeping views of the coastline, including the Belvedere, Bishop's Palace, Mausoleum and of course, the iconic Mussenden Temple, perched dramatically on the clifftop edge.

Throughout the session, Sarah will share her approach through various relaxed demonstrations, offering practical tips and tricks on how to capture the atmosphere with confidence on your sketchbook.

Following a hectic summer, take the opportunity to slow down, chill out and enjoy a morning of relaxed, creative sketching.

This event is suitable for those aged 18 and over and requires your own sketchbook, acrylics/watercolours, pens, chalks, pencils and your favourite brushes.
