A large collection of textiles celebrating the art of stitching from traditional to modern methods.

Samplers dating from the 1830s show the meticulous work of young ladies who needed to learn the alphabet as well as stitching.  Pride of place in the exhibition is the work of Ann Hanna Rashee.

The exhibition also features traditional patchwork quilits as well as experimental embroidery of stitching on paper which was inspired by the Book of Kells.
