About

Magherintemple Lodge is a Scottish Baronial-style gatelodge built in 1874, located just outside the seaside town of Ballycastle on the north Antrim coast, with historic connections. There's a strong feeling of quiet and peace, despite being only five minutes' drive from the beach.

Ballycastle's golden sandy beach was named one of Ireland's 30 best by the Irish Independent, guests can catch the ferry to Rathlin Island to see puffins and other seabirds in early summer.

Property overview

The lodge sleeps 4 (recommended 2 adults and 2 children) across a double room and a bunk bed room, and welcomes up to 2 dogs.

The dining and kitchen room is spacious and full of light, with French doors opening onto a patio area – perfect for a family barbecue or a meal al fresco on a fine evening. The comfortable living room has a real log fire for cooler evenings, and a quiet reading room is tucked away at the top of the house.

Facilities

Gas-fired central heating, open fire in sitting room, electric oven, hair dryer, towels and linen provided, fridge/freezer, patio with garden table and chairs, radio, travel cot for infants on request, sitting room, cooking utensils and equipment.
