About

Nestled on a peaceful rural farm in the village of Greysteel, just nine miles from Derry~Londonderry, this beautifully restored 150-year-old barn is home to renowned harpist Lucia McGinnis. Surrounded by breathtaking views across Lough Foyle towards Inishowen and Binevenagh Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it provides a truly memorable setting to experience one of Ireland's most treasured traditions.

These specially curated harp experiences offer a unique opportunity to connect with Ireland's rich musical heritage in an intimate and authentic environment. Guided by Lucia, an experienced performer, teacher and therapeutic musician, visitors will discover the fascinating history of the Irish harp and its enduring place at the heart of Irish culture and identity.

Your experience begins with an introduction to the musical traditions of the region, close to the landscape that inspired the world-famous song Danny Boy. Enjoy a live harp performance, hear stories from Ireland's ancient harping tradition, and gain insight into the instrument's cultural significance through the centuries.

Visitors are then invited to take part in a relaxed, hands-on session where they can hold and play a harp for themselves. With Lucia's friendly and engaging guidance, even complete beginners can learn a simple Irish tune and experience the joy of creating music. Guests leave with lasting memories, a sense of achievement, and a deeper appreciation of this iconic instrument.

At the heart of every experience is the Irish harp: a powerful symbol of Ireland's history, culture and spirit that continues to resonate long after the final note has faded.
