As part of Culture Month at the Old Church Centre they will be joined by Harold Good and Jonny Clark who will lead you in a conversation exploring the role of faith, peacebuilding and healing in divided communities.
Rev. Harold Good is a former President of the Methodist Church in Ireland and Corrymeela's first Centre Director in the 1970s. He played a vital role in the Northern Ireland Peace Process and, in 2005, along with Fr Alec Reid, Harold was tasked with witnessing the decommissioning of paramilitary weapons.
Jonny Clark is one of the Programme Managers at the Corrymeela Community. Jonny has been involved in peacebuilding work for 30 years, leading projects in Rostrevor and West Belfast. He has also done extensive work in Lebanon, Palestine, South Africa and Bosnia, amongst many other places.
In 2018, he produced the documentary Guardians of the Flame, which looked at the lives of three victims of the Troubles and the role religion plays, for good and ill, in places of conflict.
