Join the Glens Red Squirrel group to celebrate "Squirreltober" with a guided walk through Cregagh Wood.
A short woodland walk steep slops at start. Cregagh wood is nestled in Glendun, Cushendun in the Glens of Antrim through tranquil and peaceful surroundings making it an excellent home for Red Squirrels. Find out what other wildlife the forest has to offer and about the work the Glens Red Squirrel Group have been doing over the last 13 years in the woods to protect the local red squirrels. You will also visit the hide to see if you can spot any of the red squirrels that visit the feed site.
Natural paths through the woodland not suitable for prams. The walk can be muddy underfoot therefore appropriate walking shoes/ boots should be worn.
Duration: 1.5 hours -2 hours
Footwear: Bring warm clothing and suitable footwear.
Booking is a must for this event spaces limited.
